陶氏化学加速在华业务发展，与龙翔集团签署天津物流中心项目合作备忘录
搜狐财经讯 陶氏化学公司（纽约证交所代码：DOW）和中国最大的综合性化学物流服务提供商之一龙翔集团控股有限公司（香港证交所代码：935）近日天津签署合作备忘录，拟在天津滨海新区南港工业区合资兴建陶氏化学天津物流中心。该项目规划投资2亿美元，将成为陶氏在中国的第一个化学品物流中心，同时也将成为陶氏全球最大的化学品物流中心。该项目将发挥战略性物流中心的作用，有力地支持陶氏在大中华区和北亚区持续强劲的业务增长。
陶氏化学大中华区总裁石博韬表示：“陶氏化学正在中国加大投资力度，加强本地化生产和供应链网络，加速我们在中国的发展，而天津物流中心将发挥战略性的作用，使我们能够更好地满足当地市场的需求。作为一个至关重要的物流中心，该项目将确保我们能够把来自境外的化学品原材料和成品快速高效地运送至大中华区相应区域。”
据介绍，天津物流中心项目占地50 公顷，可直通深水区域和铁路系统，每年货物吞吐量可达600万至900万吨。全部建成使用时，该中心共需聘用300多位熟练技术人员。天津物流中心还将采用先进的设计和最高的行业标准，以确保其日常运营的安全性和环保性。
陶氏化学和龙翔集团将于今年下半年递交项目申请书，呈报政府审批。项目一期预计将于2016年投入运营。同时，该项目还有扩建所需的用地空间，可以扩大为陶氏未来在东部沿海的物流中心，以支持公司在中国的未来投资和发展。
目前，陶氏正大力加强在中国的供应链系统。今年四月，陶氏与塔塔信息技术公司合作，在天津开设业务服务中心，以进一步提升卓越的业务运营能力，更好地服务于陶氏在华客户、陶氏各业务部门及合资公司。
据了解，陶氏大中华区销售额在2010年又创新高，超过40亿美元，并有望在今后几年中继续保持两位数的增长。目前，大中华区是陶氏在全球的第二大国际市场，陶氏在这里拥有18个生产基地和6个业务中心。
